Ko-Fi Funding Launch + Development Cost Breakdown
So, I wasn't expecting to be releasing this devlog NOW but life loves to throw me numerous curveballs, and even though I tried to grin and bear through them, I couldn't risk going into debt. So, I decided to launch the Ko-Fi campaign now.
Cost Breakdown
Art: $500
Editing: $285
GUI: $240 (Paid $120) - $120 remaining
Voice Acting: $232.50 ($2.5 per line)*
Writing: $200**
Grand Total: $1,337.50
*This amount only includes the lines that the actors have recorded so far, let it be for the common route, Peppermint's route, and/or partially Lakritz' route (this primarily applies to Joey who voices Philip as he only appears in Lakritz' route). As such, any new lines that are recorded for Lakritz' route or Reginald's route will be paid out of pocket by me.
** This amount accounts for Oona's work for Lakritz's route before I took over. For Anna's work on Reginald's route, we have both agreed to do a work trade.
I am not taking a cut of the Ko-Fi funds being raised here, everything is going to the team members.

Why so much?
Because I wanted to pay everyone fairly. Though a part of me is ashamed I couldn't have made more of a dent into the funding goal myself before launching this campaign.
Originally, I wanted to launch the Ko-Fi funding campaign when I released the revamped demo. It was the perfect plan: to give players a better version of the game and show everyone the progress we've made since last year. However, as the costs added up, and my bank account dwindled, it became clear I couldn't wait that long unless I put myself in a financial hole that was going to be difficult to get out of.
While I'm not sorry for paying everyone fairly, I am sorry for asking for this much financial help.
When will the game be released?
This is difficult to determine as it's heavily based on how fast we reach the funding goal. If we make steady progress towards the goal, that answer will become more clear with time. If not, the answer becomes more murky.
Where can we see progress of the game?
Once I get more content, I'll be making exclusive posts to Patreon (will be linked at a later date once I start posting content there) and Ko-Fi for members. People who donate to the goal will be able to see these exclusive Ko-Fi posts for 30 days after their initial donation. I'll also make free devlogs on itchio, but they will be posted at a later date.
