OKAY HELLO, HI. It's been a while. So, rather than dilly-dally, I want to get straight into what's going on with this game.

So, uh, what's, up?

First things first, the game is not dead or cancelled. I've posted some monthly updates regarding Candied Hearts (and my other titles) on Patreon and Ko-Fi. So, if you want, please follow me on there! Those updates are free and will always be free, I promise! 

To give you a TL;DR of the game's progress as of right now:

1) Peppermint's route has been fully edited and about 30% of it has been implemented into the game. Here's a screenshot! Are Candice and Peppermint sharing a bed?! Why, yes, they are!

2)  Oona is wrapping up the endings for Lakritz' route. Here's a CG from Lakritz' route! Oho, I wonder what could be happening here...

3) Finally, Anna is hard at work writing Reginald's route! The first 1.9k words have been written. Here's a smaaaaaalll snippet of what Anna has written thus far!

With all of that being said...

What IS the situation?

Life is life-ing for all of us right now. We're all facing some personal issues that need to be handled first before we can turn our full attention back to the game. 

As the project lead, I can't and will not ask my team to drop pressing matters for this game. It's selfish and frankly, helps no one in the long run. I want everyone to be at 100% when they work on this and not have this feel like a job or chore.

When can we expect the game?

I want to say before the end of the year, but I can't promise a concrete date. What I can promise is that this game isn't going to die or be dropped. I may take a hot minute with my games *looks at A Marble's Muse and Winning Hearts* but I strive to see them to completion, no matter how long it may take.
